Connect a ready project In this video, you’ll learn how to connect a ready SwarmCraft project to the folder where you’ll build your app in VS Code. We’ll open your app’s folder, choose the folder SwarmCraft will use, and check your project’s board. Before you begin, make sure your project is ready in SwarmCraft, you’re signed in to SwarmCraft through VS Code, and you have your app’s repository saved on your computer. We’ll use an employee onboarding app as our example. First, open your app’s folder. In VS Code, choose File, then Open Folder. Select the folder containing your app’s repository. Here, that’s employee onboarding. If VS Code asks whether you trust the folder, confirm only if you own it or trust its contents. Then open the SwarmCraft view from the icon bar on the left. If your app’s folder is already open, you can keep using it. Next, choose the folder SwarmCraft will use. In VS Code, open the Command Palette and run SwarmCraft: Choose Repo. If more than one folder is open, choose your app’s folder. Here, that’s employee onboarding. If only one folder is open, SwarmCraft selects it directly. Check that Workspace folder shows the name you expect. Then expand Employee Onboarding to see its board columns. Finally, check the project’s board. Next, run SwarmCraft: Refresh to load your projects and check that Employee Onboarding is listed. Then run SwarmCraft: Open Board. Pause to check the project name and choose Employee Onboarding. We’ll check the same project in the browser. In the browser, sign in if you’re asked to. Check that the board is for Employee Onboarding, then scroll down to see its tasks. Opening the board confirms that you can access the project. It doesn’t create local task files yet. You’ve opened your app’s folder, chosen the folder SwarmCraft will use, and checked your project’s board. You now know where your local work will happen and which project you’ll work on. Next, use the project board to understand the work and choose your first task.
