When to go deeper

Use Deep Discovery when the boundary needs evidence.

Fast Start deliberately keeps an existing system of record in place. Deep Discovery can investigate the smallest coherent operation—including bounded record ownership—when the evidence, migration risk, and operating responsibilities support it.

Strong signals

  • A focused guided intake would hide important actors, rules, exceptions, or controls.
  • Knowledge is distributed across documents, repositories, operators, or subject-matter experts.
  • The replacement boundary may include bounded records and needs migration or continuity reasoning.
  • The owner wants a reviewable discovery trail before authorizing any upload or Project Unlock.

Important boundaries

  • The nine reviewed documents and only the supporting text sources you select are included.
  • Raw binary files, unselected repository files, and unrelated working-tree content are not uploaded.
  • Provenance is retained for the immutable project package, not as task-level source citations.
  • Deep Discovery is not recurring monitoring, CI ingestion, drift detection, or a paid regeneration service.

Start with existing text sources, focused owner interviews, or both. Your chosen local AI provider helps surface actors, rules, records, exceptions, risks, and unresolved decisions in your own repository.

Review

Review nine guided documents

The curated Markdown documents become the reviewed account of the operation. Supporting sources add context, but they cannot silently override decisions you approved.

Authorize

Preview one exact text package

Deterministic tooling validates the reviewed files and shows exactly what will be uploaded. Package preparation does not call your local AI or generate hidden tasks.

Create

Unlock one project and initial board

After explicit authorization, SwarmCraft privately interprets the admitted package on the server. Deep Discovery uses the same Project Unlock rules and creates the same deliverable as Fast Start.

One commercial outcome

Deep is a discovery route, not a premium tier.

Fast Start and Deep Discovery use the same displayed Project Unlock price, offers, credits, referrals, and eligibility rules. Each creates one project and its initial board. There is no Deep surcharge or subscription.

A wider discovery boundary is not a promise that every core record system should be replaced. Payroll, accounting ledgers, regulated clinical records, and identity infrastructure require substantially stronger migration, continuity, compliance, and operational assurance.
