How SwarmCraft uses this page
Effective date: 19 May 2026.
This page explains the cookie categories used on the public SwarmCraft site and gives you a live way to review or change the analytics-cookie preference stored in your browser. The preference manager available above is the same shared control available from the footer.
Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies support core public-site behaviour such as security, consent-state persistence, and other features required to keep the site working correctly. These cookies are always on because the site cannot operate properly without them.
- Security and session-support behaviour.
- Remembering your cookie preference decision.
- Other strictly necessary site functionality needed to deliver the public experience.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are optional. SwarmCraft only enables them after you opt in through the cookie preference controls. Our current analytics model uses Google Tag Manager as the tag-delivery layer, with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity expected to be configured through GTM rather than loaded directly by page code.
Where enabled, analytics cookies may help us understand route traffic, page engagement, click and scroll behaviour, session flow, and broad site performance trends. Those insights help us improve the public site, docs, blog, and legal content without turning analytics on by default.
- Google Tag Manager delivers the approved analytics tags once consent exists.
- Google Analytics may be used for aggregate traffic, route, and usage reporting.
- Microsoft Clarity may be used for behavioural signals such as click, scroll, and heatmap-style interaction analysis.
How consent is stored and changed
When you save a cookie preference, SwarmCraft stores a first-party cookie in your browser recording whether analytics cookies are enabled or disabled. We use that stored value to decide whether GTM-managed analytics is allowed to load on later visits.
You can change your choice at any time by reopening the preference manager from the footer or this page. Rejecting or disabling analytics cookies prevents future GTM-managed analytics loading from the browser after the preference change.
Browser controls and vendor information
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting existing cookies. Browser-level controls may affect how some site features behave.
If you want more information about the analytics tools named above, you can review Google's documentation for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, and Microsoft's documentation for Clarity. Vendor policies and tools may change independently of SwarmCraft.
